ARP bolt torque I'm not an expert, just a guy building a 545 stroker. But, a local engine guru is guiding me on the build and we are using the stretch guage. A 63 ft.lbs. setting on a Snap-on torque wrench was typically low by about 5 lbs. We checked the stretch for every torque and the additional 5 lbs got us pretty close. Hope this helps.

If you DO NOT use their supplied moly lube, you can use heavy weight gear oil and torque to 120 ft.lb, but I highly recommend using their supplied lube.

They have a torque spec of 24 ft-lb. I talked with the man at Raceware and he said a slight overtorque is okay, but not above 29 ft-lb.

Mar 11, 2009 · Only non undercut type studs need to be retorqued. All VR6 ARP studs are undercut. The torque spec will vary if you use 30wt oil instead of moly lube. I don't remember if it is higher or lower. I've used 72lbft with moly lube for quite some time and I've never had a problem.
